2018年，9月14日，薛娇老师在高一（1）班开设M1U1word power 词汇公开课，在利用语料库进行的教学中，不是单纯进行某个单词的记忆，而是结合其他相关单词，通过鲜活的语料，可使学生感悟到词汇因搭配而产生的其他意思，提高了学习内容的丰富性，从而大大提高了教学质量。在这种联合记忆的方法下，不仅提高学习效率，也使学生传统的被动学习向研究型学习转变。
This period is word power. At first, I deals with words and expressions related to school facilities by showing the students some pictures and consolidate these words by doing Part C. Then, I will ask the students to review expressions of asking and answering the way and deal with Parts A and B involving activities that aim to activate their relative knowledge. Part D aims to expand and evaluate their vocabulary by doing a matching exercise. Finally, I ask the students to discuss: What should we pay attention to when doing exercise in the gym? (Safety) How?
The students are not only to expand their related vocabulary but also to apply them in practical usage.
